Elbow River Casino Phone Number
Elbow River Casino phone number searches usually come from people who need one practical answer before they leave home. Maybe you want to confirm hours. Maybe you are checking the poker waitlist. Maybe the buffet timing matters. Maybe you want to ask about parking, an event, or a lost item. The right number depends on what you need.
Public listings show two useful phone references. Public contact listings show 403-289-8880 as a general contact number. The published poker room details list 403-206-0252 for poker information or waitlist sign-up. I would use those differently rather than assuming one number solves every question.
Phone Number Quick Table
| Need | Number from public listings | What to ask |
|---|---|---|
| General casino contact | 403-289-8880 | Current hours, dining, general venue questions, events, contact routing |
| Poker room/waitlist | 403-206-0252 | Current games, waitlist, poker hours, limit Hold’em or Omaha availability |
| Address confirmation | General line or map listing | 218 18 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB T2G 1L1 |
| Parking question | General line first | Patron parking rules, underground access, event-day parking |
| Buffet question | General line or dining route | Jester’s Buffet, brunch, dim sum, menu timing |
Because phone listings can change, I would still verify through the current official contact page or current map listing if the call does not connect.
When To Call The General Number
Use the general number when your question is about the whole venue. That includes opening hours, whether a holiday schedule applies, whether a restaurant is open, where to park, whether an event is happening, and how to reach guest services.
I would call the general line for:
1. Today’s casino opening and closing hours. 2. Jester’s Buffet or Sunday brunch timing. 3. Sammy’s Sports Bar hours. 4. Dim sum availability. 5. General parking or accessibility questions. 6. Lost and found routing. 7. Event or entertainment questions.
For published timing context before calling, read Elbow River Casino hours.
When To Call The Poker Number
If your question is about poker, use the poker number from the public gaming page: 403-206-0252. That source specifically says to call for more information or to sign up on the waiting list. That is more useful than calling the front desk and hoping to be transferred.
Before calling, know what you want to ask. A good poker call is direct:
| Ask this | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| “Is the poker room open right now?” | Hours can shift |
| “What games are running?” | Published poker details highlight limit Hold’em and Omaha |
| “Is there a waitlist?” | Saves a wasted trip |
| “Can I put my name down by phone?” | Confirms current waitlist process |
| “What limits are running?” | Helps you bring the right bankroll |
| “Are any jackpots or promos active?” | Lets you ask for current rules |

Calling About Buffet Or Dining
Dining is worth confirming by phone because the published details list multiple windows. Jester’s Buffet is listed Friday and Saturday from 5 PM to 9 PM. Sunday brunch is listed from 11 AM to 2 PM. Dim sum is listed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11 AM to 3 PM. Sammy’s Sports Bar and Jester’s Deli have broader listed hours.
If I were calling about food, I would ask:
1. Is Jester’s Buffet running today? 2. What time does brunch end? 3. Is dim sum available today? 4. Are reservations needed or recommended? 5. Is there a menu change for holidays or events? 6. Is Sammy’s Sports Bar serving the regular menu right now?
The Elbow River Casino buffet page lays out the listed dining schedule before you call.
Calling About Parking
Parking is another good reason to call, especially around events. The venue promotes underground parking, and public parking listings reference Lot 286, Indigo, and 271 spaces. Public listings mention free underground parking for patrons, while other nearby parking data can show paid rates. A quick call can clarify what applies to your visit.
Ask whether patron parking is currently free, whether the underground parkade is open, whether event nights change anything, and whether there are time limits. If you plan to play poker for several hours, mention that. A long session is different from a quick meal.

Calling From Out Of Town
If you are not local to Calgary, keep the call practical. Confirm the address, nearest landmark, parking access, and whether there is anything unusual happening that day. Elbow River is near the Red Mile, Macleod Trail, Victoria Park, and Stampede district. That is helpful, but it also means area traffic can change around events.
If you need a hotel attached to the casino, ask that directly and save yourself a surprise. Elbow River does not have an on-site hotel in the public venue details and local listings. For a full comparison, read biggest casino in Calgary.
Phone Etiquette That Gets Better Answers
The person answering the phone may be handling a busy venue, so I would keep the call short and specific. Instead of “what’s going on tonight?”, ask “Is Jester’s Buffet open from 5 PM to 9 PM tonight?” or “Is limit Hold’em running right now, and is there a waitlist?” Specific questions get better answers.
If the answer affects money, timing, or travel, repeat it back once. For example: “So the poker room is open, but there is already a wait, correct?” That avoids misunderstanding.
